Carpetright Carpet Fitting Cost. (you must have the same amount of underlay) the equivalent cost of fitting will be shown as a discounted amount on your total carpet order. You can find shops that will charge as little as £1.25 per square yard and some that will charge as much as £3 per square yard for the same like for like job.
Our underlays range from £3.59 per sq mt to £7.19 per sq mt. This can vary, depending on room size, shape, labour, furniture removals etc. We do apply a surcharge for carpet fitting on stairs.
For example, the labour cost of fitting a carpet in a room that is 30m² should be in the region of £120, including any grippers and door easing that’s needed.
The fitting fee also includes fitting underlay and grippers if purchased from carpetright. Our carpet fitting cost per square meter is £3.50 and for vinyl the cost is £4.00. But as carpetright are all too happy to point out, they neither make the carpet nor employ the fitters, so they deserve no credit for that.
