Floor Plan Math Activity. Students learn estimation measuring skills proportion and ratios by hand-drafting a floor plan of their classroom to scale. Print the completed floor plan.
Work in groups or pairs for peer help. Sketch a map of your classroom. Although students work in small math family groups I find it helpful for each student to have their own copy to work with.
Discuss scale eg 1 centimeter 5 meters.
