Baumer Hall is the newest mens hall in the Notre Dame residential life community completed in Summer 2019. Edward Sorin CSC Sorin Hall was the first facility designated by its namesake as a residence hall. Prior to 1888 all students were housed in the Main Building. Before its construction students studied and lived in the Main Building.
